FAQs
As a veteran cruiser myself, I serve as the trusted adviser to my clients and potential clients. Here are just a few of my most frequently asked questions. Something you don't see? Don't worry, there's no such thing as a silly question. Call me at (732) 234-3361 or e-mail sue@acruiseforyou.net.
1. When is the best time to take a couples cruise?
I suggest that you plan your romantic couples cruise during the school year. October is a wonderful month to take a Caribbean cruise.
2. What is the best time to go to Alaska?
Of course it is best to cruise in Alaska during the summer months. The best rates, though, are in the month of May!
3. When is the best season to cruise the Mediterranean?
For sightseeing, I always recommend cruising in the Med in the Spring and Fall. If it's hot, steamy weather that you are looking for, then go in the summer and enjoy the pool on those lovely days at sea.
4. The ship is so big, what's the strategy for seeing everything?
Take it easy. Explore the ship at your own pace and participate in some of the activities. You can do it all or nothing at all!
5. I don't drink or gamble, will I still have fun?
There are fabulous shows onboard and plenty of fun activities to keep you busy. Try trivia, take a dance class, or attend a cooking demonstration, to name a few.
6. I thought only my grandparents cruised. Are there cruises for young adults?
Absolutely. There are plenty of sports and activities geared for the younger set. I haven't seen too many grandparents tackling the FlowRider!
7. Once on board what other costs may I incur?
It is customary to pay gratuities. You may want to gamble or drink alcohol or purchase a momento in the gift shop. Shore excursions are also optional.
8. Which cruise line is the best?
They are all wonderful for different reasons. Call me and we can discuss the differences. We will find one that is perfect for you.
9. Can we celebrate a special occasion board?
Yes. We have celebrated Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Retirements, Bar Mitzvahs, Sweet 16's and many other life events onboard. We can simply celebrate with a cake or throw a huge party for all of your guests.
10. I have special needs. Will a cruise line accommodate me?
Of course. Ships have specific cabins for people with disabilities, special menus for those with dietary restrictions, and even shore excursions that are wheelchair accessible. Just let me know and I will take care of it for you.
